Unlabelled: The increasing number of elderly and their needs challenge the health care system by addressing community physicians with their complex medical problems. Therefore, these physicians should be trained in basic geriatric knowledge in order to ensure the quality of care and improve the cost/ benefit rate.
Conclusions: A multidisciplinary community-based Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA) is effective in the evaluation of the frail elderly. However, the degree of implementation of recommendations by family physicians must be improved.
