In this study, several indexes for spatial accessibility were proposed for evaluating the shoulder prosthesis with a small pneumatic actuator driven parallel mechanism in daily living use. Using the spatial accessibility indexes and manipulability indexes, the configuration of the parallel mechanism was optimized. Especially, the effect of biasing spacer and trunk motions on spatial accessibility were taken into consideration. The results showed that biasing spacers could improve the spatial accessibility by moving the center of the working space of the shoulder prosthesis towards the center of two specified spatial regions, which correspond to the expected frequently accessed area and the reachable area for an individual user's upper limb in daily living. And trunk motions could enlarge the working space thus further improve the spatial accessibility.

At-risk conifer stands growing in hot, arid conditions at low elevations may contain the most climate change-adapted seeds needed for sustainable forestry. This study used a triage framework to identify high-priority survey areas for Pinus ponderosa (Pipo) within a large region, by intersecting an updated range map with a map of seed zones and elevation bands (SZEBs). The framework assesses place-based climate change and potential wildfire risks by rank-order across 740 potential collection units.

China faces substantial challenges in healthcare access and quality, marked by significant regional disparities. While the potential of informatization to enhance healthcare services is increasingly acknowledged, the specific mechanisms through which it impacts healthcare delivery remain underexplored. By employing provincial panel data and dynamic spatial panel models, we aim to uncover the mechanisms through which informatization impacts healthcare delivery.

The achievable spatial resolution of C metabolic images acquired with hyperpolarized C-pyruvate is worse than H images typically by an order of magnitude due to the rapidly decaying hyperpolarized signals and the low gyromagnetic ratio of C. This study is to develop and characterize a volumetric patch-based super-resolution reconstruction algorithm that enhances spatial resolution C cardiac MRI by utilizing structural information from H MRI. The reconstruction procedure comprises anatomical segmentation from high-resolution H MRI, calculation of a patch-based weight matrix, and iterative reconstruction of high-resolution multi-slice C MRI.

Human vocabularies include specific words to communicate interpersonal behaviors, a core linguistic function mainly afforded by social verbs (SVs). This skill has been proposed to engage dedicated systems subserving social knowledge. Yet, neurocognitive evidence is scarce, and no study has examined spectro-temporal and spatial signatures of SV access.
