A well-defined α,ω-dialdehyde polyisoprene-b-polystyrene block copolymer, synthesized using anionic polymerization high-vacuum techniques, is employed to prepare vitrimers with tris(2-aminoethyl)amine as the cross-linking agent. The vitrimer network, featuring dynamic imine cross-links, results in robust, flexible, and solvent-resistant films, which are applicable in thin film composite membranes. These vitrimer membranes, with molecular weight cut-offs in the nanofiltration range, are successfully used for organic solvent separation and evaluated for gas separation.

, one of the most efficient expression hosts for recombinant proteins, is widely used in chemical, medical, food, and other industries. engineering of gene regulation circuits and cell density-controlled cell lysis are promising directions for the release of intracellular bioproducts. Here, we developed an autolytic system, named the quorum sensing-mediated bacterial autolytic (QS-BA) system, by incorporating an acyl-homoserine lactone (AHL)-based YasI/YasR-type quorum sensing circuit from into cells.

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires fabricated via wet chemical synthesis on flexible polymer substrates are inherently unstable against mechanical bending stress because of their high density and weak adhesion to the substrate. We introduce a novel method for controlling the density of such ZnO nanowire arrays using a three-dimensional corrugated metal substrate. These metal substrates, featuring extruded and recessed patterns fabricated via nanoimprint lithography, were employed as cathodes during the electrochemical deposition of ZnO nanowire arrays.

Over the past few years, researchers have demonstrated the use of hydrogels to design drug delivery platforms that offer a variety of benefits, including but not limited to longer circulation times, reduced drug degradation, and improved targeting. Furthermore, a variety of strategies have been explored to develop stimulus-responsive hydrogels to design smart drug delivery platforms that can release drugs to specific target areas and at predetermined rates. However, only a few studies have focused on exploring how innate hydrogel properties can be optimized and modulated to tailor drug dosage and release rates.
