Introduction: Thoracodorsal artery perforator (TDAP) flap has been used for more than 10 years in the immediate partial breast reconstruction (IPBR) of breast cancer, allowing many patients to maximize reserved autologous breast tissue who do not have indications for breast-conserving surgery (BCS). No large sample size survival data for this operation have been reported worldwide.
Methods: There are 212 primary breast cancer patients who were prepared to receive BCS with IPBR of pedicled TDAP flaps in our institution from June 2013 to December 2017.

Total avulsion of the scalp represents a therapeutic challenge with no consensus nowadays. Currently, microsurgical reimplantation is the reconstructive procedure of choice, but in case it is not feasible, the literature does not define an ideal treatment for an immediate reconstruction. We present the case of an 18-year-old woman with total avulsion of the scalp and forehead skin without possibility of reimplantation.

Background: Mastectomy and breast reconstruction with latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap (LDF) is a major surgery that covers eight or more dermatomes causing severe pain in the postoperative period.
Objectives: We evaluated the analgesic effect of a hybrid technique of ultrasound-guided combined thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) and erector spinae plane block (ESPB) in a single needle pass in ten consecutive patients scheduled for mastectomy with LDF reconstruction as a part of a multimodal analgesia regimen.
Design: Prospective observational study.

Tension pneumocephalus is a rare postoperative complication, typically presenting with mental status changes or rapid neurological decline after craniotomy. We report a complex case of tension pneumocephalus triggered by graft retraction after ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt placement. A 39-year-old woman with a recurrent left trigeminal cavernous sinus schwannoma, status post one prior resection, two stereotactic radiosurgery treatments, and one course of fractionated radiotherapy, underwent radical resection with orbital exenteration and abdominal fat free graft reconstruction followed by adjuvant radiotherapy for malignant transformation.
