Background: Based on the results of JCOG0802 and CALGB studies, segmentectomy has considered to be a standard procedure for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). After lobectomy, the residual cavity is filled with mediastinal and diaphragmatic deviations, and compensatory volume changes are present in the residual lungs. In this study, we examined the efficacy of segmentectomy, a surgical procedure, by focusing on its impact on postoperative lung volume and function.

Introduction: Congenital bronchial atresia (CBA), as a rare developmental abnormality of the lung, is usually asymptomatic and is accidently discovered in most cases. Currently, no standardized guidelines for the treatment or management of CBA have been established.
Case Presentation: A 22-year-old male soldier was referred to Shanghai Changhai Hospital, The First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University due to chest tightness and shortness of breath after repeated strenuous activities.

Objective: Preoperative detection of axillary lymph node metastases (ALNMs) from breast cancer is suboptimal; however, recent work suggests radiomics may improve detection of ALNMs. This study aims to develop a 3D CT radiomics model to improve detection of ALNMs compared to conventional imaging features in patients with locally advanced breast cancer.
Methods: Retrospective chart review was performed on patients referred to a specialty breast cancer center between 2015 and 2020 with US-guided biopsy-proven ALNMs and pretreatment chest CT.

The security of AI systems has gained significant attention in recent years, particularly in the medical diagnosis field. To develop a secure medical image classification system based on deep neural networks, it is crucial to design effective adversarial attacks that can embed hidden, malicious behaviors into the system. However, designing a unified attack method that can generate imperceptible attack samples with high content similarity and be applied to diverse medical image classification systems is challenging due to the diversity of medical imaging modalities and dimensionalities.

Background: In robot-assisted thoracic surgery (RATS) lobectomy using a robotic stapler, stapling is difficult when the stapler port place is close to the resection target vessel. We examined whether three-dimensional computed tomography (3D-CT) software enables stapler port place determination for stapling.
Methods: Seventy-three patients who underwent RATS lobectomy were enrolled.
