The goal of this study was to determine the effects of ABVD and ChlVPP chemotherapeutic protocols for Hodgkin's disease on the structure of testis and epididymis of male rat. After determining tolerance dose of drugs in pilot study, 24 male rats were divided to four groups: ABVD (doxorubicin, bleomycine, vinblastin, dacarbazine) group, ChlVPP (chlorambucil, vinblastin, procarbazine, prednisolone) group and two control groups one for each treatment group. One half of the lethal dose for 50% of population (LD50) was used for treatment of animals in each protocol. Testes and epididymis tissues were examined for structural changes and serum testosterone level was measured by Lission (chemiluminescence method). Body weight, testis and epididymis weights, in treated rats were significantly less than their control groups specifically in ABVD group was less than ChlVPP group. Decreasing of mean diameter of seminiferous tubules, height of spermatogenic cells and diameter of epididymis in caput, corpus and cauda in ABVD group were significantly more than ChlVPP and control group. The serum testosterone level in ABVD group was significantly less than ChlVPP and control group. According to this study results, the ChlVPP had fewer impairment effects than ABVD on testis and epididymis tissue in tolerance doses on male rats' reproductive system. More clinical trial studies are suggested on Hodgkin's patients. With equal treatment effectiveness, it will be better to use the most reliable and safe treatment especially in young patients.

Purpose: Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is one of the most curable paediatric cancers, with long-term survival rates now exceeding 90% after treatment with chemotherapy alone or combined with radiotherapy (RT). Treatment options for Hodgkin's Lymphoma differ among various study groups and there is still no consensus regarding the standard treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. Taking into account the impact of treatment-related mortality in low- and middle-income countries we propose to study the the clinical features and treatment outcomes by using different chemotherapy protocols in Hodgk in s' s Lymphoma children's at Shaukat khanam hospital Lahore.

Purpose: To assess the efficacy of a standardised hybrid chemotherapy treatment programme for Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) in a national series of children and adolescents.
Patients And Methods: The 381 assessable patients, treated between March 2000 and April 2005 in the United Kingdom Children's Cancer Study Group trial, were reviewed to evaluate overall survival (OS), disease free survival (DFS) and deaths. Protocol treatment for stages 2-4 offered a hybrid programme of ChlVbPP (chlorambucil, vinblastine, prednisolone, procarbazine) alternating with ABVcD (doxorubicin, bleomycin, vincristine, dacarbazine).

This report describes the clinical outcomes and follow-up records of 42 children with nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (LPHL) treated on United Kingdom Children's Cancer Study Group (UKCCSG) HD1 (1982-1992) and HD2 protocols (1992-2000). The clinical records of 42 children with LPHL treated between 1982 and 2000 were reviewed retrospectively. All 42 had histology reviewed centrally and confirmed as LPHL by an expert panel.

The aim was to assess outcome in a population-based cohort of adolescents with Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) diagnosed in the UK's northern region over a 10-year period. Among a population of 3.09 million, 55 of 676 patients (8%) diagnosed with HL were aged 13-19.
