Background: The impact of tongue protrusion forces on the formation of malocclusions is well documented in academic literature. In the case of bone dehiscence of the buccal wall in front of the lower frontal teeth, this process may be even more pronounced. Augmentation with 3D customized allogenic bone blocks (CABB) has been proposed as a potential solution for treating such defects.

Objectives: Opioid-associated fatal and non-fatal overdose rates continue to rise. Prehospital overdose education and naloxone distribution (OEND) programs are attractive harm-reduction strategies, as patients who are not transported by EMS after receiving naloxone have limited access to other interventions. This narrative summary describes our experiences with prehospital implementation of evidence-based OEND practices across Ohio as part of the HEALing Communities Study (HCS).

Plant-derived bioactive substances have demonstrated significant qualities that suggest they may be crucial in preventing various chronic diseases. Flavonoids, which include apigenin, are the biggest group of polyphenols. In our study, we aimed to obtain the methanol-chloroform (1:1) extract from the aerial parts of Hedge & Lamond and purify the apigenin using bioactivity-guided isolation to separate the active fraction.

Marburg virus infection poses a significant threat to humans due to its high fatality rate. The application of in-silico drug design to target the essential protein target of the virus has been proven to be a fundamental technique to inhibit viral growth. Here, VP40 (a matrix protein) was used as an essential protein target of Marburg, and 2569 natural compounds were screened using the molecular docking and neural network-based DeepPurpose architecture.
