Structure, working principle, use method and clinical application of a central suction bottle is proposed. It boasts such features as simply produced and easily used. The workload of nurses can be reduced by using disposable attract bags, Also cross-infection can be effectively controlled. It is worth to be widely use in clinical application.

Background: An inflammation of the nasal and paranasal sinus mucosa that lasts longer than three months is known as chronic rhinosinusitis. When corticosteroids and other medicinal treatments fail to relieve a patient's symptoms, then functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is a commonly performed procedure to alleviate the symptoms. The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of oral steroids given prior to surgery on intraoperative bleeding in patients having functional endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic rhinosinusitis.

High vibration poses significant safety and operational risks to compressor components. This study presents a thorough investigation of the root causes analysis and corrective actions to resolve vibration-induced failures faced on the suction system of a reciprocating compressor. Excessive pressure pulsations in the suction bottle and strong mechanical coupling between the cylinders and suction bottle due to high cylinder gas forces were identified as the root causes of vibration-induced failure of the suction system.

Breastfeeding is widely regarded as the optimal form of feeding infants, as it provides both nutritional and physiological benefits. For example, breastfed infants generate greater intraoral suction and have higher amplitude muscle activities compared to bottle-fed infants, with downstream implications for motor function, development, and health. One mechanism that might explain these physiological differences is the structure of the nipple an infant is feeding on.

Background: There are guidelines recommending the use of Indwelling pleural catheter (IPC), but there is no established consensus or guidelines regarding the modality of drainage post-IPC insertion. We have devised a novel drainage technique that combines the advantages of both aggressive and symptom-guided drainage.
Method: This was a prospective intervention trial in which patients with malignant pleural effusion, drained with IPC, were initially given one week of 'high-intensity' drainage on an outpatient basis using a low-pressure suction pump, followed by symptom-based home drainage using vacuum bottles.
Purpose: To identify the effect of releasing a tourniquet before versus after wound closure in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) on blood loss, functional outcome and postoperative complications.
Methodology: A prospective cohort study was conducted including 53 patients from May 2023 to September 2023. All patients underwent unilateral TKA and were divided into two groups based on surgeon preference of deflating tourniquet, Group A consisted of patients in whom the tourniquet was deflated before wound closure for haemostasis and Group B consisted of patients in which tourniquet was deflated after wound closure and compressive dressing.
