AIM.: Describe a clinical case of a voluminous asymptomatic fibromatosis lesion present on the cheek mucosa and evaluate the healing of the site after removal of the lesion with use of the laser diode. METHODS.: It was decided to use laser diodes to affect the mucous membrane and remove the lesion without the use of local anesthetic infiltration. The protocol used includes a 300-micron fiber and the emission of continuous light of 1.5 Watt with a range of wave of 940 nm. RESULTS.: THE PROVEN BENEFITS OF USING LASER DIODES FOR MINOR SURGERY ARE: drastic reduction of intraoperative bleeding and in the hours after the surgerywill restrict the swellingbetter and faster healing with no scarring and better cosmetic resultdoes not require suturesreducing the operating time thanks to no need for anesthetic infiltrationin most cases totally absent or less post-operative pain on the surgical site. CONCLUSIONS.: The laser diodes give a significant contribution to improving the surgical treatment of tumors of the oral cavity infact during the surgery reduce bleeding and surgical time, while in the process of healing by reduce swelling and post-operative pain and better results appearance without scarring.

This study presents a novel optoporation technique using a titanium-coated TiO microstructure (TMS) device activated by an infrared diode laser for highly efficient intracellular delivery. The TMS device, fabricated with 120 nm titanium coating on a titanium dioxide (TiO) microstructure containing microneedles (height ∼2 μm and width ∼4.5 μm), demonstrates enhanced biocompatibility and thermal conductivity compared to the conventional TiO microstructure (MS).

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of different types of low level laser treatment (LLLT) in reducing pain levels, changing oxygen saturation and bite force in patients with myofacial pain syndrome (MPS). 45 patients were randomly assigned to three groups: Group 1 (GRR laser, n = 15) received LLLT with Gallium-Aluminium-Arsenide (GaAlAs) diode laser with a wavelength of 904 nm and red laser with a wavelength of 650 nm over masseter muscle region. Group 2 (Nd: YAG laser, n = 15) were treated with Neodymium-doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet laser with a wavelength of 1064 nm and the same protocol with Nd: YAG laser was performed in the Group 3 (placebo, n = 15) using sham device.

Significance: Cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebral blood volume (CBV) are key metrics for regional cerebrovascular monitoring. Simultaneous, non-invasive measurement of CBF and CBV at different brain locations would advance cerebrovascular monitoring and pave the way for brain injury detection as current brain injury diagnostic methods are often constrained by high costs, limited sensitivity, and reliance on subjective symptom reporting.
Aim: We aim to develop a multi-channel non-invasive optical system for measuring CBF and CBV at different regions of the brain simultaneously with a cost-effective, reliable, and scalable system capable of detecting potential differences in CBF and CBV across different regions of the brain.
