THE FOLLOWING THREE NEW SPECIES ARE ILLUSTRATED AND DESCRIBED FROM FIJI: Triaenodes rebellus Eriksson & Johanson, sp. n., Triaenodes oscitus Müller & Johanson, sp. n., and Triaenodes forcipatus Puranen Li & Johanson, sp. n. All species are endemic to Viti Levu. A key to the male Triaenodes species of Fiji is provided. With this report, the number of Triaenodes species known from Fiji is doubled.

There have been few systematic studies on Trichoptera larvae in Thailand. The larval stages of the endemic species remain mostly unknown. Continued work on describing the larval stages of species will improve the precision of water quality monitoring metrics and enable ecological studies of species.

The Trichoptera include more species than any of the other primarily aquatic orders of insects, which are usually found in clean fresh water. Distribution of the species of an order based on geography can provide guidance for researchers working in the field. In the current study, for the first time, a list of known Trichoptera species in Kyrgyzstan is given along with a new record.

This is the first documented case of the parasitism of water mites on the caddisfly pupa as well as the first ever record of the species which is regarded as a dipteran parasite on caddisflies. The situation is very untypical for preimaginal stages of caddisflies are used by phoretic and not parasitic water mite larvae.
