Postoperative analgesia at home induces necessarily pain assessment by self-report or observational measure. A special scale has been validated for day-case surgery: the PPMP. Nevertheless, children's and parents' information and education are essential.

Background: Acute pain management is critical in postoperative care, especially in vulnerable patient populations that may be unable to self-report pain levels effectively. Current methods of pain assessment often rely on subjective patient reports or behavioral pain observation tools, which can lead to inconsistencies in pain management. Multimodal pain assessment, integrating physiological and behavioral data, presents an opportunity to create more objective and accurate pain measurement systems.

This study aims to study the efficacy and safety of a Periarticular analgesic cocktail including ropivacaine injection and epidural ropivacaine for early rehabilitation after a total knee replacement.
Methods: Total of 100 patients divided into two groups, one group received epidural ropivacaine and second group given periarticular cocktail containing ropivacaine.
To assess whether spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) application procedures (ie, target, thrust, and region) impacted changes in pain and disability for adults with spine pain. Systematic review with network meta-analysis. We searched PubMed and Epistemonikos for systematic reviews indexed up to February 2022 and conducted a systematic search of 5 databases (MEDLINE, EMBASE, CENTRAL [Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials], PEDro [Physiotherapy Evidence Database], and Index to Chiropractic Literature) from January 1, 2018, to September 12, 2023.

Background: Longitudinal Milestones data reported to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) provide a structured framework for assessing the developmental progression of residents in key competencies and subcompetencies. This study aims to investigate the previously underexplored longitudinal reliability of Milestones data, with the goal of identifying patterns in learning trajectories that can inform targeted interventions for residents and programs.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study with national anesthesiology Milestones data collected from 2014 to 2020.

Background And Purpose: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) and total knee arthroplasty (TKA) are widely performed surgeries for end-stage joint disease, yet the influence of depression and anxiety on postoperative outcomes remains unclear. This study aims to consolidate current evidence on the relationship between preoperative depression and/or anxiety disorders and postoperative outcomes in adult patients undergoing primary THA or TKA. Given the potential for these psychiatric conditions to affect recovery, pain management, and overall satisfaction, the results of this study are crucial to inform targeted perioperative interventions and improve patient-centered care.
