Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and multiple system atrophy (MSA) are less responsive to usual antiparkinsonian drugs. To assess the treatment outcome of the combination of low-dose amantadine and escitalopram in the study population. A retrospective study of PSP and MSA patients from June 2021 to December 2022 treated with the dose of amantadine 100 mg and escitalopram 5 mg per day with a follow-up of 2 months at a tertiary care centre in India.

Acquired resistance remains a major challenge for therapies targeting oncogene activated pathways. KRAS is the most frequently mutated oncogene in human cancers, yet strategies targeting its downstream signaling kinases have failed to produce durable treatment responses. Here, we developed multiple models of acquired resistance to dual-mechanism ERK/MAPK inhibitors across KRAS-mutant pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancers, and then probed the long-term events enabling survival against this class of drugs.

Background: Due to an increasing occupational usage of isothiazolinone (IT)-containing preservatives, and their potential to cause skin sensitization and allergic contact dermatitis, that is, chronic disease, there is a need for more knowledge on how highly exposed workers are affected.
Objectives: The overall objective was to explore dermatological symptoms of potentially long-lasting or chronic character in Swedish painters.
Methods: Building painters from western and southern Sweden were initially invited to perform a questionnaire on occurrence of skin symptoms.

Obesity is a major risk factor for many common diseases and has a substantial heritable component. To identify new genetic determinants, we performed exome-sequence analyses for adult body mass index (BMI) in up to 587,027 individuals. We identified rare loss-of-function variants in two genes (BSN and APBA1) with effects substantially larger than those of well-established obesity genes such as MC4R.
