The article deals with the development of regulation of advertising of medicinal products in the Czech Lands of the Habsburg Monarchy and Czechoslovakia in the years 1775-1938. Advertising medicines had and has its specifics and its regulation had been addressed by specific standards and linked to other health laws and regulations. Regulation of advertising of medicinal products has undergone a long process from the initial total ban on advertising to the establishment of clear rules, some of which, such as restrictions on advertising prescription-only medicines only to the professional healthcare press, are still valid.

Issues: Tobacco retailing remains highly prevalent in Australia and so represents a potential source of exposure to tobacco marketing for children, despite national laws that restrict tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. This study sought to answer the question of how comprehensively the current Australian regulatory framework protects children from potential exposure to tobacco marketing in retail settings.

Approach: We reviewed and summarised Australian tobacco control laws (federal, state and territory) for provisions related to protecting children from supply or advertising/promotion of tobacco products in retail settings.

Recent work has continued to deepen our understanding of the manifestation of Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD). While disturbance of self-organization (DSO) is identified as a key symptom set distinguishing CPTSD from general PTSD diagnostic criteria, specific DSO assessments which include attachment themes would be a helpful tool for clinicians to address DSO in clinical, subclinical, and nonclinical populations. The current research introduces the preliminary validation of the 38-item CPTSD-DSO scale, which has negative self-concept, affect dysregulation, and attachment disruption/interpersonal problem subscales.
