Osteopetrosis, also known as marble bone disease, is a genetic condition characterised by generalised sclerosis of bones. The osteoclastic cells responsible for bone resorption are defective and nonfunctional. To overcome the difficulties, 3D-printed "jigsaw puzzle" has been innovated to improve the surgical outcome. Study Design: Retrospective Cohort Study.
Objectives: The current recommended treatment for Giant Cell Tumour (GCT) of the spine is en bloc excision. Denosumab is a monoclonal antibody reducing osteoclast activity that shows promising results when used as a neo - adjuvant treatment.
Case: We present a 79-year-old woman with a complex elbow fracture including a comminuted proximal ulna fracture, coronoid process fracture, and comminuted radial head fracture treated with primary total elbow arthroplasty (TEA). The patient completed an early therapy protocol and had complete healing. At 15 months postoperatively, she had full pronosupination and elbow arc of motion from 10 to 135° with no reported pain.
