Article Abstract

Objective: To investigate the chemical constituents from the whole herbs of Anoectochilus chapaensis.

Methods: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatographies with silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 and preparative TLC. Their structures were identified by their physiochemical property and spectral data.

Results: 6 compounds were isolated and elucidated as follows: (1) Friedelin, (2) Sorghumol, (3) 5alpha, 8alpha-epidioxyergost-22-en-3beta-ol, (4) Stearic acid, (5) Octadecane and (6) Epifriedelanol.

Conclusion: Compound (1), (2) and (4) are isolated from this plant for the first time, and compound (3), (5) and (6) are isolated from genera Anoectochilus for the first time.

Degradation of 15 halogenated hydrocarbons by 5 unactivated chemical oxidation oxidants.

Environ Technol

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Heavy Oil Processing, Beijing Key Lab of Oil & Gas Pollution Control, China University of Petroleum-Beijing, Beijing, People's Republic of China.

Oxidants used in the ISCO technology usually require activation by activators to degrade contaminants. However, this study investigated degradation of 15 typical halogenated hydrocarbons by five common ISCO oxidants (PS, PMS, HO, KMnO, SPC) without activation in both pure water and real groundwater. Unactivated PS could degrade 14 halogenated hydrocarbons, excluding tetrachloromethane.

Aim Of The Study: This study investigated the mechanism by which the Postoperative Tongqi Formula (PTQF) treats postoperative ileus (POI) through regulation of the p38 MAPK signaling pathway, Zona occludens 1 (ZO-1) protein, and metabolism.

Methods: The primary components of PTQF were characterized using UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS. The identified compounds subsequently employed network pharmacology to predict the signaling pathways associated with the inflammatory phase of POI.

Organic compounds containing azines, di-imines, or bis-Schiff-bases have two azomethine (-CH=N-) functional groups associated with a bridging component. These constituents have attracted attention from a diversity of disciplines, comprising coordination, medicinal, agriculture chemistry, and organic synthesis, because of their comprehensive chemical reactivity and nature. This study determines common synthetic approaches and various biological and pharmacological activities of several substituted bis-Schiff byproducts.

Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that primarily manifests with symptoms such as heat and toxin. However, the key components and molecular mechanisms of Zhizi Baipi decoction (ZBD) in the treatment of RA are still unclear.

Objectives: The study aimed to explore the mechanism of action of ZBD for treating RA through ingredient analysis, network pharmacology, and experimental validation.
