Objective: To analyze ginsenosides composition in wild ginseng leaves with different growth years.
Method: The analysis was performed on Acquity UPLC BEH Shield RP18 (2.1 mm x 100 mm, 1.7 microm) column, the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.05% formic acid solution in gradient elution mode. The detection wavelength was at 203 nm. The flow rate was 0.4 mL x min(-1) and column temperature was set at 30 degrees C.
Result: Thirteen ginsenosides were determined by the established UPLC method. In 5-17th growth year ginseng leaf samples cultivated simulating wild conditions, the contents of ginsenosides in the 14th year have the highest content.
Conclusion: The established method is simple, accurate and reliable, can be used in ginsenosides determination and fingerprint research of Panax crude drug. The result provides reliable data for the accumulation of ginsenosides and sustainable utilization of ginseng resources.

Ginseng and its processed products are valued as health foods for their nutritional benefits. The traditional forms of processed ginseng include white ginseng, dali ginseng (DLG), red ginseng (RG), and black ginseng (BG). However, the impact of processing on the chemical composition and anti-tumor efficacy of these products is not well understood.

Background: Ginseng-Schisandra chinensis (GSC) decoction has shown good efficacy in the treatment of asthma (AS), but its t mechanism in the treatment of asthma is still not fully understood.
Purpose: This study aims to elucidate the therapeutic mechanism of GSC for AS by identifying the active components of GSC.
Methods: The chemical composition of GSC was analyzed using UHPLC-MS/MS.

Bone marrow hematopoietic injury encompasses a range of pathological conditions that disrupt the normal function of the hematopoietic system, primarily through the impaired production and differentiation of bone marrow hematopoietic cells. Key pathogenic mechanisms include aging, radiation damage, chemical induction, infection and inflammation, and cross-talk with non-hematopoietic diseases. These pathological factors often lead to myelosuppression and myeloid skewing.

is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant of considerable application value and commercial potential, primarily due to its production of various bioactive compounds, particularly dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins that are structurally analogous to ginsenosides. Oxidosqualene cyclase (OSC), a pivotal enzyme in the biosynthesis of triterpenoid metabolites in plants, catalyzes the conversion of oxidosqualene into triterpenoid precursors, which are essential components of the secondary metabolites found in . To elucidate the role of gene family members in the synthesis of gypenosides within , this study undertook a comprehensive genome-wide identification and characterization of genes within and compared their expression levels across populations distributed over different geographical regions by both transcriptome sequencing and qRT-PCR experimental validation.

The effects of puffing on the ginsenoside composition as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of ginseng berry were investigated to increase the utilization of ginseng berry. There was no significant difference in extraction yield between the control and puffed samples at all moisture contents and pressure conditions ( < 0.05).
