It is shown that antihypoxic ionol has promoted normalization of the air-blood lung barrier ultrastructure, activation of the surfactant system under acute hypoxic hypoxia effect as well as compensatory redistribution of the thickness of separate barrier layers due to intensified synthesis of phospholipids which are the components of cytoplasmic membranes and pulmonary surfactant.

At present, some progress has been made in developing NIR light-responsive free radical generators. However, the efficacy of theranostics continues to be hindered by tumor-associated inflammatory reactions. Hence, fulfilling the in situ release of free radicals upon NIR light excitation specifically activated by the inflammation microenvironment would be an ideal strategy for efficient inflammation eradication and tumor suppression but remains a challenge.

Background: To investigate the accuracy of quantitative blood oxygen level-dependent (qBOLD) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in identifying hypoxia within glioblastoma and explore dynamic changes in oxygenation status of glioblastoma with and without metformin administration.
Methods: Three healthy and seven C6-bearing rats underwent 7-T qBOLD MRI. Oxygen extraction fraction (OEF) and cerebral metabolism rate of O (CMRO) were calculated from qBOLD data.

Introduction: The aim of the study was to systematically analyze the therapeutic effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy compared with conventional drug therapy in patients with Parkinson's disease.
Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wanfang Database searched to the end of March 2023. Two authors independently screened and abstracted data from each trial.

Cardiac inflammation, a pathological cornerstone in cardiac dysfunction, triggers diastolic impairment, leading to profound myocardial hypoxia. This hypoxic state serves as a potent stimulus for the amplification of inflammatory mediator release, ultimately limiting the therapeutic potential of monotherapies. To address this challenge, compounds that integrate non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with nitric oxide (NO) donors was synthesized.

Antibacterial hydrogels have generated significant interest for their potential therapeutic applications. Ozone (O₃) is recognized for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and anti-hypoxic properties, along with its minimal residual impact. However, the development of sustained O₃-release antibacterial hydrogels has been challenging due to the low solubility and short lifespan of ozone.
