When juxtaposed with 2D cell culture models, multicellular tumor spheroids demonstrate a capacity to faithfully replicate certain features inherent to solid tumors. These include spatial architecture, physiological responses, the release of soluble mediators, patterns of gene expression, and mechanisms of drug resistance. The morphological and behavioural similarities between 3D-cultured cells and cells within tumor masses highlight the potential of these models in studying cancer biology and drug responses.

Purpose: Pelvic and hip motion are pivotal in maintaining postural control and energy efficient gait. An insight into influence of age and gender on the coupled motion of hip and pelvis in gait-cycle will guide clinical rehabilitation strategies and pertinent technology-design for specific age-groups. Therefore, present study evaluated pelvic and hip-joint gait kinematics in healthy females and males across adult-hood.

Background: Bacteria in physiological environments can generate mineralizing biofilms, which are associated with diseases like periodontitis or kidney stones. Modelling complex environments presents a challenge for the study of mineralization in biofilms. Here, we developed an experimental setup which could be applied to study the fundamental principles behind biofilm mineralization on rigid substrates, using a model organism and in a tailored bioreactor that mimics a humid environment.

Many approaches have been implemented in order to reduce the emissions of particular pollutants without compromising engine performance. Cotton and castor mixed seed oil was chosen for the current study due to their distinct fatty acid composition and potential as a feedstock for bio-additives. Three fuel samples-99 % diesel and 1 % blended fuel (cottonseed oil + castor seed oil), 99.
