Background: Healthcare adverse events (AEs) significantly impact professionals, often leading to emotional distress and lasting effects. This study investigates the impact of AEs on healthcare professionals in Romania, focusing on nurses to examine their experiences within the patient safety culture and the psychological consequences of AEs. With a limited body of research on patient safety, adverse events, and second victims (SVs) in Romania, this study addresses a crucial gap, highlighting the need for enhanced safety culture and support mechanisms for SVs.

Copy number variation (CNV) is an important part of human genetic variations, which is associated with various kinds of diseases. To tackle the limitations of traditional CNV detection methods, such as restricted detection types, high error rates, and challenges in precisely identifying the location of variant breakpoints, a new method called MSCNV (copy number variations detection method for multi-strategies integration based on a one-class support vector machine model) is proposed. MSCNV establishes a multi-signal channel that integrates three strategies: read depth, split read, and read pair.

Modern microelectronics industries urgently require dielectric materials with low thermal expansion coefficients, low dielectric constants, and minimal dielectric loss. However, the design principles of materials with low dielectric constants and low thermal expansion are contradictory. In this study, a new diamine monomer containing a dibenzocyclooctadiene unit (DBCOD-NH) was designed and synthesized, which was subsequently polymerized with high fluorine content 4,4'-hexafluoroisopr-opylidene diphthalic anhydride and 4,4'-diamino-2,2'-bis(trifleoromethyl)biphenyl to obtain a series of fluorinated polyimides (PIs).

Bacterial biofilms, complex microbial communities encased in a protective extracellular matrix, pose a significant threat to public health due to their inherent antibiotic resistance. This review explores the potential of peptides, particularly antimicrobial peptides (AMPs), as innovative tools to combat biofilm-related infections. AMPs, characterized by their potent antimicrobial activity and tissue permeability, offer a promising approach to overcome the challenges posed by biofilms.
