We report a globally reversible effect of electronic tuning on the magnetic phase diagram in CeCoIn(5) driven by electron (Pt and Sn) and hole (Cd, Hg) doping. Consequently, we are able to extract the superconducting pair breaking component for hole and electron dopants with pressure and codoping studies, respectively. We find that these nominally nonmagnetic dopants have a remarkably weak pair breaking effect for a d-wave superconductor. The pair breaking is weaker for hole dopants, which induce magnetic moments, than for electron dopants. Furthermore, both Pt and Sn doping have a similar effect on superconductivity despite being on different dopant sites, arguing against the notion that superconductivity lives predominantly in the CeIn(3) planes of these materials. In addition, we shed qualitative understanding on the doping dependence with density functional theory calculations.

Acentric crystalline materials are the cornerstone of numerous cutting-edge technologies and have been highly sought-after, but they are difficult to construct controllably. Herein, by introducing a new p-block element to break the symmetrical environment of the d transition metal in the centric matrix TiTeO, a novel acentric tellurite sulfate, namely Ti(TeO)(SO), was successfully constructed. In its structure, two types of p-block element-centered oxo-anionic groups, [TeO] and [SO], endow [TiO] with an out-of-center distortion along the local C[111] direction, which is rare in titanium oxides containing a lone-pair cation.

Objective: 3p deletion syndrome is a rare monosomal disease that encompasses deletions throughout the short arm of chromosome 3. It is often in the distal region (3p25-pter), but variations in breakpoints and a complex clinical manifestation exist, with congenital heart defects being considered rare. The () gene family is of rising importance as their fusions are oncogenic, and specific target drugs are available to inhibit the chimera proteins. Pan-TRK antibody, which shows the overexpression of the genes, is a useful tool to detect tumors with or without gene alterations, due to high negative predictive value. Though it is well known that pan-TRK immunopositivity is usually not connected to fusion, the role of other possible genetic alterations is under-researched.
