Introduction: Delay in detecting acute deterioration in older adults in care homes is associated with avoidable hospitalizations and adverse outcomes, including premature death.
Objective: Underpinned by the Knowledge to Action Framework, this study aimed to understand the barriers and enablers to direct care staff detecting and responding to the early signs of acute deterioration in care home residents.
Study Design: Online focus groups or interviews with regulated (registered and enrolled nurses) and unregulated (assistants in nursing and personal care workers) direct care staff from participating care homes were conducted.

Introduction: Some stressors, like the death of a partner, are common and rigorously studied, while others, such as those related to climate change or social media, are just emerging and in need of systematic research. The New Jersey Population Health Cohort (NJHealth) Study aims to characterise established and emerging stressors and delineate the pathways through which they influence health, especially among groups likely to experience chronic exposure to stressors including immigrants, people of colour, multigenerational families and low-income families.
Methods And Analysis: A prospective cohort, the NJHealth Study is recruiting 8000 NJ residents aged 14 and older using probabilistic and purposive methods to include members of multigenerational families, marginalised racial/ethnic and low-income populations, and recent immigrant groups.

Background: Compared to other vaccines recommended for the elderly, the effectiveness of health education in improving the willingness to vaccinate the herpes zoster vaccine (HZV) in low-come residents remains unclear.
Methods: We recruited elderly participants from villages in Lingcheng District, and assigned each village to one of three health education interventions: oral health education, brochure-based health education, or video health education. The follow-up surveys were conducted immediately after each intervention.
Purpose: In the current era of physician work-hour regulations, patient care ownership (PCO) has received considerable attention. The aim of the study was to investigate the association between working hours and PCO.
Methods: This was a nationwide cross-sectional study.

Gastric mucosal CD8 tissue-resident memory T (CD8T) cells are increased in Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infected subjects, but the characteristics and chemotactic mechanism of CD8T cells remain unknown. We demonstrated that C-X-C chemokine receptor 5 (CXCR5) was upregulated on gastric mucosal CD8T cells, and gastric CXCL13 was dominantly secreted by dendritic cells and macrophages in H.
