The reaction of [{(CO)(5)W}PRH(2)] (R = H, Ph) with H(3)Al⋅NR(3) (R = Et, Me) leads to the formation of four-membered heterocyclic compounds [({(CO)(5)W}P(H)AlH⋅NEt(3))(2)] and [({(CO)(5)W}PhPAlH⋅NMe(3))(2)]. Upon dissolving the solid compounds, fast equilibria between the isomers are observed on the NMR timescale. Further insight into the stability and reactivity of the isomers was gained by applying theoretical methods. DFT calculations predict that hydrogen elimination in the case of [({(CO)(5)W}PhPAlH⋅NMe(3))(2)] may be reversible.

Understanding the molecular mechanism of inhibitor binding to prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is of fundamental importance for designing targeted drugs for prostate cancer. Here we designed a series of PSMA-targeting inhibitors with distinct molecular structures, which were synthesized and characterized using both experimental and computational approaches. Microsecond molecular dynamics simulations revealed the structural and thermodynamic details of PSMA-inhibitor interactions.

Background: Microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) patients are the dominant population in immune checkpoint blockade treatments, while more than half of them could not benefit from single-agent immunotherapy. We tried to identify the biomarker of MSI-H CRC and explore its role and mechanism in anti-PD-1 treatments. Tumor-specific MHC-II was linked to a better response to anti-PD-1 in MSI-H CRC and CD74 promoted assembly and transport of HLA-DR dimers.

Photocatalytic asymmetric C-C coupling for CO reduction on dynamically reconstructed Ru-O/Ru-O sites.

Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, University of Calgary, 2500 University Drive, NW, Calgary, AB, Canada.

Solar-driven CO reduction to value-added C chemicals is thermodynamically challenging due to multiple complicated steps. The design of active sites and structures for photocatalysts is necessary to improve solar energy efficiency. In this work, atomically dispersed Ru-O sites in RuInO are constructed by interior lattice anchoring of Ru.

Laboratory of Nuclear Energy Chemistry, Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100049, China. Electronic address:

Tailored design of organic linkers or metal nodes can introduce desirable functionalities into metal-organic cages (MOCs), significantly expanding their potential applications. In this study, we present a viable approach for engineering acyl-type metal nodes to create interior oxygen-rich sites within MOCs, enabling specific recognition of metal ions, including radioactive contaminants, while maintaining the structural integrity of the MOCs. A novel MOC featuring a uranyl-sealed calix[4]resorcinarene (C[4]R)-based multisite cavity, referred to as UOC, is synthesized as a prototype.

Analyze the impact of lignin depolymerization process and its products on humic substance formation.

Int J Biol Macromol

January 2025

College of Life Science, Northeast Agricultural University, 600 Changjiang Road, Harbin 150030, PR China. Electronic address:

This study aimed to identify types of lignin depolymerization products (LDP) and their role in humic substances (HS) formation, and little research has revealed which LDP could participate into HS formation during composting. Therefore, rice straw (RS), peanut straw (PS) and pine needles (PN) were selected for their different lignin structures to qualitatively and quantitative analyze LDP firstly. Qualitative results indicated that RS, PS and PN mainly produced LDP with G-type, common group and dimer structure.
