Urinary lithiasis is one of the most common and the oldest known afflictions of the urinary tract. The management of renal stones has undergone radical changes in recent years, the latest being the minimally invasive procedures like extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy, making the open surgical procedures relatively obsolete. However, there are situations where the above-mentioned minimally invasive procedures prove to be lacking in achieving the cure; laparoscopic pyelolithotomy caters to such group of patients, e.g. the presence of calculi in malrotated or malpositioned kidneys. Herein, we report a case of pelvic kidney with a large calculus managed by laparoscopic trans-peritoneal pyelolithotomy.

Transposition of inferior vena cava, or, left-sided inferior vena cava (LS-IVC) is a rare clinical entity, in which the inferior vena cava ascends along the left side of the abdominal aorta. Literature contains mainly clinical case reports. Introduction: Hugo Robot-Assisted Surgery (RAS) System has been conceived with enhanced modularity but its role for nephron-sparing surgery setting still remains poorly explored. We aimed to describe our experience in robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) with a three-arms setting for the first off-clamp series using the new Hugo RAS System.
Methods: Patients were placed on an extended flank position at the margin of the surgical bed with a slightly flexion (45°).

Unlabelled: Trans-peritoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy is a well-established minimally invasive procedure for management of large impacted ureteric stones since the last 3 decades. We present a case of a 51-year old gentleman, who presented with bilateral large upper ureteric calculi with obstructive uropathy and azotemia, managed successfully with bilateral synchronous 3-port trans-peritoneal laparoscopic ureterolithotomy, and to our knowledge is the first such case to be reported in literature.
