Background: Myoepithelial carcinoma is a very rare yet aggressive tumor in children. Surgical intervention and local radiotherapy often lead to post-therapy complications, affecting both the aesthetic and functional quality of life in survivors. Hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers offer a minimally invasive option to improve the appearance and quality of life for these patients once they are declared tumor-free.

Background: Enoximone, a phosphodiesterase III inhibitor, was approved in Germany in 1989 and initially proposed for heart failure and perioperative cardiac conditions. The research of Joachim Boldt and his supervisor Gunter Hempelmann came under scrutiny after investigations revealed systematic scientific misconduct leading to numerous retractions. Therefore, early enoximone studies by Boldt and Hempelmann from 1988 to 1991 were reviewed.

We discuss a previously healthy adolescent male presenting with subacute neuropsychiatric issues, tremors, hyperreflexia, and hypertension. Laboratory studies revealed acute on chronic kidney disease. Additional investigations yielded a treatable late-onset inborn error of metabolism (IEM).
