Moyamoya disease (MMD) is a rare idiopathic cerebrovascular disorder that causes transient ischemic attack (TIA) and ischemic stroke in the pediatric population. Herein, we report an extremely rare case of Moyamoya syndrome (MMS) and late-onset idiopathic aqueduct stenosis, a unique form of non-communicating hydrocephalus. A 17-year-old female presented with an intractable headache and occasional faintness.

Xenopus tadpoles serve as an exceptional model organism for studying post-embryonic development in vertebrates. During post-embryonic development, large-scale changes in tissue morphology, including organ regeneration and metamorphosis, occur at the organ level. However, understanding these processes in a three-dimensional manner remains challenging.

Methods: Using sagittal histological sections from five embryos (crown-rump length or CRL, 14-21 mm), nine early fetuses (CRL 24-35 mm) and 12 midterm and near-term fetuses (CRL 82-272 mm), we revisited the development and growth of the human ear aqueduct.
