The peanut stunt virus (PSV) causes yield losses in soybean and reduced seed quality due to seed mottling. The objectives of this study were to determine the phenotypic reactions of soybean germplasms to inoculation with two PSV isolates (PSV-K, PSV-T), the inheritance of PSV resistance in soybean cultivars, and the locus of the PSV resistance gene. We investigated the PSV resistance of 132 soybean cultivars to both PSV isolates; of these, 73 cultivars exhibited resistance to both PSV isolates. Three resistant cultivars (Harosoy, Tsurunotamago 1 and Hyuga) were crossed with the susceptible cultivar Enrei. The crosses were evaluated in the F(1), F(2) and F(2:3) generations for their reactions to inoculation with the two PSV isolates. In an allelism test, we crossed Harosoy and Tsurunotamago 1 with the resistant cultivar Hyuga. The results revealed that PSV resistance in these cultivars is controlled by a single dominant gene at the same locus. We have proposed Rpsv1, as the name of the resistance gene in Hyuga. We also constructed a linkage map using recombinant inbred lines between Hyuga × Enrei using 176 SSR markers. We mapped Rpsv1 near the Satt435 locus on soybean chromosome 7.

Introduction: In clinical diagnosis of porcine diseases, co-infection with multiple viruses often leads to similar clinical symptoms. Postweaning multisystemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) can be caused by infections with TTSuV or PCV2, while PCV2, PRV, and PPV can cause respiratory and reproductive disorders in pigs. The overlapping clinical and pathological features of these infections necessitate the development of a rapid and specific method for differentiating and detecting these four DNA viruses.

The gravity-induced depth-dependent elastic properties of a granular half-space result in multiple dispersive surface modes and demand the consideration of material heterogeneity in metabarrier designs to suppress surface waves. Numerous locally resonant metabarrier configurations have been proposed in the literature to suppress Rayleigh surface waves in homogeneous media, with little focus on extending the designs to a heterogeneous half-space. In this work, a metabarrier comprising partially embedded rod-like resonators to suppress the fundamental dispersive surface wave modes in heterogeneous granular media known as first order PSV (PSV1; where P is the longitudinal mode and SV is the shear-vertical mode) and second order PSV (PSV2) is proposed.

The present study aimed to explore the linkage between wetland health, provisioning service value (PsV) and livelihood vulnerability of the dependent fishermen community taking examples from the Moribund deltaic wetlands of India. Wetland health including hydrological strength, habitat state, and the water quality of the wetland was assessed using a random forest (RF) and XGBoosing machine learning approach, and the Livelihood Vulnerability Index (LVI) was computed using balanced weighted approach. Ordinary least square (OLS) regression, correlation matrix, and rank correlation matrix were done to make the relationship between wetland health and LVI.

Introduction: Our aim was to investigate the incidence, comorbidities, and outcomes of fetuses with an elevated middle cerebral artery peak systolic velocity (MCA-PSV) >1.5 multiples of median (MoM), despite normal hemoglobin (Hgb) levels on fetal blood sampling (FBS).
Methods: A single-center observational retrospective cohort study of all fetuses undergoing FBS and MCA-PSV >1.
