Cancers and neurodegenerative disorders are associated with both disrupted proteostasis and altered nuclear morphology. Determining if changes in nuclear morphology contribute to pathology requires an understanding of the underlying mechanisms, which are difficult to elucidate in cells where pleiotropic effects of altering proteostasis might indirectly influence nuclear morphology. To investigate direct effects, we studied nuclei assembled in egg extract where potentially confounding effects of transcription, translation, cell cycle progression, and actin dynamics are absent.

Background: Ecthyma is a deeper form of impetigo involving the epidermis and dermis causing ulcerative plaques. Pathogens commonly responsible for the disease (group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus and Staphylococcus aureus) typically afflicts children, presenting during early stages with skin lesions that can closely resemble other vesicular and ulcerative dermatoses, such as those observed in mpox infection. The ongoing global outbreak of monkeypox has escalated the urgency for clinicians to accurately differentiate between these conditions due to their overlapping dermatological manifestations.

Objectives: Liver transplant is the most effective therapeutic option for patients with end-stage liver disease, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, and acute liver failure. We evaluated whether the percentage of hepatic fat percentage affected transplant outcomes to determine whether livers with varying severity of macrosteatosis should be considered suitable for donation.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed data from 381 patients with liver failure who received liver transplant at Montaseriyeh Hospital in Mashhad, Iran, between 2013 and 2022.
