Aim. This study presents the OPEMA (Observation des pharmacodépendances en médecine ambulatoire) programme and the main results of its last annual survey (november 2010). Method. Collected data concern mainly subjects' sociodemographic situation, their state of health and their current consumption of psychoactive substance. Results. In 2010, 1394 subjects have been included, describing 2 450 consumptions of psychoactive susbtance. Their mean age is 38,2±12,7 years. Eighty-six per cent have a stable accomodation and 52% are in employment. Fifty-six percent of included subjects present a psychiatric comorbidity. Among included subjects, HIV and HVC prevalence is respectively 3% and 20%. Fourty-five percent of included subjects have been using intraveinous route, 6% of whom using it currently. Eighty-two percent consume opiate maintenance treatment and 29% benzodiazepines. Conclusion. The OPEMA programme supplement the french pharmacodependence assessment system with collecting data from general practitioners, and promotes a global knowledge of dependent subjects' state of health.

Background: There is a growing body of evidence showing the value of community singing-based rehabilitation on psychosocial well-being and communication for people with post-stroke communication impairment (PSCI). However, there has been little consideration of the potential value an inpatient aphasia-friendly choir may have through the perspective of the stroke multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Aims: To explore the experiences and views of the MDT on the role an established inpatient aphasia-friendly choir, at a stroke rehabilitation centre in South Wales, UK, may play in the rehabilitation of people with PSCI.

Healthy brain aging involves changes in both brain structure and function, including alterations in cellular composition and microstructure across brain regions. Unlike diffusion-weighted MRI (dMRI), diffusion-weighted MR spectroscopy (dMRS) can assess cell-type specific microstructural changes, providing indirect information on both cell composition and microstructure through the quantification and interpretation of metabolites' diffusion properties. This work investigates age-related changes in the higher-order diffusion properties of total N-Acetyl-aspartate (neuronal biomarker), total choline (glial biomarker), and total creatine (both neuronal and glial biomarker) beyond the classical apparent diffusion coefficient in cerebral and cerebellar gray matter of healthy human brain.

The aim of this paper is to overview the meeting on New horizons in nanoelectrochemistry held at Nanjing University in China in October 2024 and to give some perspective to the work presented. This paper is based on my summary talk and breaks down the subjects in the following areas of nanoelectrochemistry presented at the meeting: nanowires, nanonets, and nanoarrays; nanopores; nanopipettes; spectroelectrochemistry, scanning ion-conductance microscopy and light-active processes at nanointerfaces; scanning electrochemical microscopy and scanning electrochemical cell microscopy; and nanosensors. I end with some discussion of online meetings and where the field might go including artificial intelligence and by asking AI to define the challenges and future of nanoelectrochemistry.

The APOE4 allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for sporadic Alzheimer's disease (AD). While APOE4 is strongly associated with amyloid-beta (Aβ), its relationship with tau accumulation is less understood. Studies evaluating the role of APOE4 on tau accumulation showed conflicting results, particularly regarding the independence of these associations from Aβ load.
