Background: As with the many specialities within medicine, the expanding field of medical education is becoming a more formal and professionalised arena.
Aim: This article aims to assist junior doctors wishing to pursue formal educational roles in their future careers.
Methods: We offer twelve tips for junior doctors with these aspirations in mind, exploring a range of potential roles, resources and opportunities available.
Results: Twelve practical suggestions on how junior doctors can nurture their portfolios of evidence and subsequent future careers in medical education.
Conclusions: The developing world of medical education is becoming evermore structured and professionalised. Educators of the future will need to demonstrate evidence of their knowledge, skills and experience in the field in order to effectively assume and perform educational roles.

Background: Isolated subsegmental pulmonary embolism (issPE) is a commonly encountered diagnosis. Although the International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-10 codes are used for research, their validity for identifying issPE is unknown. Moreover, issPE diagnosis is challenging, and the findings from radiology reports may conflict with those from expert radiologists.

Advanced life support certification has traditionally been the gold standard of resuscitation training for doctors and has been shown to improve outcomes from cardiac arrest. In 2021, Health Education England removed named courses from mandatory Foundational Programme competencies, which has resulted in capping of reimbursement and reduced access to courses. This represents a drop in educational standards which is particularly concerning when the medical school curriculum has been shown to deliver inconsistent, poor-quality resuscitation training.

Mesoporous bioactive glass (MBG) is an advanced biomaterial widely recognized for its application in bone regenerative engineering. This study synthesized an MBG powder (80 mol% SiO, 5 mol% PO, and 15 mol% CaO) using a facile sol-gel method with the non-ionic surfactant Pluronic P123, which acted as a pore-forming agent. MBGs form bioactive surfaces that facilitate HA formation, and the presence of Pluronic P123 increases the surface area and promotes HA nucleation.

Purpose: To evaluate the identification of nasal bone fractures and their clinical diagnostic significance for three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of maxillofacial computed tomography (CT) images by applying artificial intelligence (AI) with deep learning (DL).
Methods: CT maxillofacial 3D reconstruction images of 39 patients with normal nasal bone and 43 patients with nasal bone fracture were retrospectively analysed, and a total of 247 images were obtained in three directions: the orthostatic, left lateral and right lateral positions. The CT scan images of all patients were reviewed by two senior specialists to confirm the presence or absence of nasal fractures.

Objective: To explore the accuracy of human-computer interaction software in identifying and locating type C1 distal radius fractures.
Methods: Based on relevant inclusion and exclusion criteria, 14 cases of type C1 distal radius fractures between September 2023 and March 2024 were retrospectively analyzed, comprising 3 males and 11 females(aged from 27 to 82 years). The data were assigned randomized identifiers.
