: Toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) are rare yet life-threatening dermatologic conditions characterized by severe skin and mucous membrane involvement. Accurate prognostic systems are crucial for clinical management to assess disease severity and predict outcomes. The primary objective of this study was to assess the epidemiological characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients with Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and SJS/TEN overlap over a 17-year period at a specialized burn center.

There is a practice gap with regard to knowledge of normal oral mucosa variants, performance of the oral examination, and competence in diagnosing and treating oral mucosal disorders. The oral mucosa falls within the purview of dermatology.

Methotrexate injections intralesionally as a treatment for psoriatic nails proved to be effective in large-scale studies as well as individual case reports, but the process is painful and time-consuming. The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of combined fractional CO2 laser (Fr. CO2) 10,600 nm and methotrexate gel versus methotrexate 1% gel alone in treatment of nail psoriasis.

Bloody coin is a dangerous game that is frequently played among children and is becoming increasingly widespread. In this article, we aimed to present a patient treated for a serious hand infection requiring hospitalization due to this game. A 13-year-old girl was consulted to our plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery clinic with a large erythema on the dorsum of her right hand.

Background: Kilohertz high-frequency alternating current (KHFAC) stimulation has demonstrated to induce rapid and reversible nerve blocks without causing nerve damage. Previous studies have explored frequency-dependent effects using a transcutaneous approach in humans from 5 to 20 kHz. Nevertheless, its application in humans is limited by the lack of stimulators approved for frequencies above 20 kHz.
