Organosulphur compounds can be easily and selectively oxidized to sulfones using a small excess of Oxone(®) (1.6 eq.) under solventless mechanical milling conditions. This green procedure has been efficiently applied to a series of model compounds and to the desulphurization of medium/high sulphur content paraffins (up to 3000 mg kg(-1)).

Due to the high cost of raw materials, this work aims to benefit from metal waste, especially iron (Fe) and silicon bronze, which results from turning workshops and recycling them to obtain nanocomposites for industrial applications. In this respect, Fe/SiBr/SiN/silica fume nanocomposites possessing superior mechanical, wear, and magnetic characteristics have been produced using powder metallurgy (PM) technology. Milled sample particle size, crystal size, and phase composition were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Presently, researchers are placing emphasis on microwave absorption coating design while neglecting the research on materials that integrate both microwave absorption performance and mechanical properties. Here, robust FeSiAl/PEEK composites were prepared by a series process, including post ball-milling annealing, sol-gel method, and hot pressing. A detailed analysis of the electromagnetic (EM) parameters reveals the significant effects of morphology, filling ratio, and microstructure of FeSiAl on EM losses under a wide-temperature range.

Objectives: This systematic review and network meta-analysis aimed to compare different PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) complete denture base manufacturing techniques by evaluating their mechanical properties. The objective was to determine which method-compression molding, injection molding, milling, or 3D printing-offers the best performance.
Data: In vitro studies investigating mechanical properties of PMMA denture base resins.

Ball bearings face numerous challenges under harsh operating conditions of elevated pressure between the balls and other contacting parts of the bearing like drop in tribological properties. To address these challenges, this paper presents the first successful experimental investigation of incorporating an innovative hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) into Aluminum-Carbon nanotube (Al-0.6 wt% CNTs) nanocomposites.

Solar-driven interfacial evaporation is regarded as a green and sustainable strategy to address the global freshwater crisis. Nevertheless, it remains challenging to develop a photothermal structure with highly efficient evaporation under omnidirectional illumination. Herein, a three-dimensional multiscale pyramidal array photothermal structure (PAPS) was developed from the inspiration of durian skin.
