We describe a 55-year-old man presenting to our institution with a gastrointestinal bleed. He was found to have a 5 cm pancreatic extra-gastrointestinal stromal tumours (EGISTs) eroding into the duodenum and ampulla of Vater. Pancreaticoduodenectomy was performed and the tumour was noted to be positive for CD117 and CD34 with six mitotic figures per 50/high-powered field. At 5 months postoperatively he is receiving treatment with imatinib and doing well. To the best of our knowledge, our patient is only the 18th case reported in the literature to date.

Pancreatic gastrointestinal stromal tumors (PGISTs) are exceptionally rare, accounting for <5% of extra-gastrointestinal stromal tumors (EGISTs) and <1% of malignant pancreatic neoplasms. We present a unique case of concurrent double primary malignancies in a 46-year-old female with a history of recurrent myoepithelial carcinoma of the parotid gland, managed through surgical resection and adjuvant therapy. These polyps are non-cancerous, but the presence of PJS significantly increases the chances of developing various types of cancers, such as colorectal, pancreatic, gastric, and breast cancer. The purpose of this review article is to give an abbreviated summary of what is currently known about this syndrome, covering its clinical symptoms, pathophysiology, genetics, and management.

Background: A few studies on pediatric Celiac Disease (CD) are available from Central Asia. Recent immunogenetic research has highlighted that the HLA-DQ2/8 genetic predisposition to CD as well as the dietary intake of gluten in this geographical area, are comparable to other regions of the world where CD prevalence is known to be 1% or higher.
Methods: This is a prospective and cross-sectional study investigating the prevalence and clinical characteristics of CD in symptomatic children referred to the pediatric gastroenterology department of a tertiary hospital in Uzbekistan from 1 September 2021, until 31 July 2022.
