Untargeted analysis by LC-MS is a valuable tool for metabolic profiling (metabonomics/metabolomics), and applications of this technology have grown rapidly over the past decade. LC-MS offers advantages of speed, sensitivity, relative ease of sample preparation, and large dynamic range compared to other platforms in this role. However, like any analytical approach, there are still drawbacks and challenges that have to be overcome, some of which are being addressed by advances in both column chemistries and instrumentation.

The current state of cancer treatment has encountered limitations, with each method having its own drawbacks. The emergence of nanotechnology in recent years has highlighted its potential in overcoming these limitations. Nanomedicine offers various drug delivery mechanisms, including passive, active, and endogenous targeting, with the advantage of modifiability and shapability.

Human amniotic membrane (hAM) has been extensively used for several decades as a bioactive scaffold for regenerative medicine. In its cryopreserved form-one of the main storage formats-the presence of viable cells has often been questioned. Furthermore, there is little published evidence of the role of endogenous amniotic cells from cryopreserved hAM in tissue repair.

Two-dimensional liquid chromatography (2D-LC) separation systems, based on two independent columns with different separation mechanisms, have exhibited strong resolving power for complex samples. Therefore, in recent years, the exceptional resolution of 2D-LC has significantly advanced the chemical separation of natural products, such as complex herbs, greatly facilitating their qualitative and quantitative analysis. This paper aims to review the latest strategies of 2D-LC in the quantitative analysis of complex chemical compositions in natural products.

Background: Three-dimensional (3D) visualization has become increasingly prevalent in orthopedic education to tackle the distinct anatomical challenges of the field. However, there is a conspicuous lack of systematic reviews that thoroughly evaluate both the advantages and drawbacks of integrating 3D with problem-based learning (3D + PBL).
Methods: A rigorous search of English databases (Cochrane Library, Embase, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science) and Chinese databases (National Knowledge Infrastructure: CNKI, Chongqing VIP: VIP, and Wan Fang) were performed up to July 2024 to identify relevant studies.
