Introduction: Endolymphatic sac tumor (ELST) is a rare neoplasm that exhibits aggressive growth primarily in the endolymphatic capsule and can potentially affect nearby neurovascular structures. The diagnosis of ELST poses challenges due to its low prevalence, gradual progression, and nonspecific symptomatology. It is currently believed that prompt surgical intervention is recommended for endolymphatic sac tumors upon diagnosis.

Purpose: This work described a new species of Ceratomyxa, based on morphological and phylogenetic analyzes of myxospores collected from the gallbladder of the fish Astyanax mexicanus.
Methods: Sixty-two specimens were captured, between December 2022 and February 2024, in the Flexal River, in the community of Tessalônica, state of Amapá. The specimens were transported alive to the Laboratory of Morphophysiology and Animal Health, at the State University of Amapá, where the studies were carried out.

: Elbow contracture is a common complication post-elbow trauma, the biomechanical environment after anterior capsule injury was complex. This study aimed to use a finite element model to investigate the biomechanical environment within elbow capsule and its surrounding tissues at various stages after anterior capsule injury. : A finite element model of the elbow joint, incorporating muscle activation behavior, was developed to simulate elbow flexion under normal condition (no injury) and at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks following anterior joint capsular injury.

Background: There is no consensus on whether adductor canal block (ACB) combined with infiltration between the popliteal artery and capsule of the posterior knee (IPACK) block can further increase analgesia and reduce opioid consumption after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) compared with ACB and periarticular infiltration analgesia (PIA).
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of combining ACB and PACK block on analgesia and functional recovery following TKA.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted involving 386 patients who underwent primary unilateral TKA at our institution from January 2020 to October 2022.
