Bone defect repair remains a great challenge in the field of orthopedics. Human body essential trace element such as copper is essential for bone regeneration, but how to use it in bone defects and the underlying its mechanisms of promoting bone formation need to be further explored. In this study, by doping copper into mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (Cu-MBGNs), we unveil a previously unidentified role of copper in facilitating osteoblast mitophagy and mitochondrial dynamics, which enhance amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) release and subsequent biomineralization, ultimately accelerating the process of bone regeneration.

Objective: The project aimed to standardize advanced care planning (ACP) at an internal medicine clinic by initiating physician-patient communication regarding the patient's knowledge, understanding, and openness to pursuing advanced medical directives.
Methods: Data collection was conducted from February 1 to April 1, 2024, with the study concluding on April 24, 2024. ACP was facilitated through an initial standardized six-question pre-intervention survey in both English and Spanish.

In this study, an acid-assisted extraction strategy was used to extract a novel polysaccharide (ACP) from after which this polysaccharide was purified and subjected to extensive characterization. ACP was determined to have an average molecular weight of 15,580 Da in structural characterization studies, and it was found to primarily consist of glucose, galactose, L-fucose, and fructose at an 82.14:12.

Quantitative analysis of As(V) in rice is of great significance for food safety and heavy metal pollution control. Here, a facile colorimetric method for As(V) detection was constructed by using immobilized acid phosphatase (ACP) in hollow metal-organic frameworks hybrid. Metalloporphyrin and gold nanoparticles modified hollow zeolite imidazole framework-8 [Au/HZIF-8@TCPP(Fe)], named AuHT, was chosen here as ACP immobilizing carrier with peroxidase-like activity.

RNA modifications are highly conserved across all domains of life, suggesting an early emergence and a fundamental role in cellular processes. The modification 3-(3-amino-3-carboxypropyl)uridine (acp³U) is found in tRNAs of eukaryotes and prokaryotes, and in the 16S rRNA of archaea. In eukaryotic rRNA, a complex modification containing the acp group, macpΨ is present at the analogous position.
