Published: October 2012

When a Ne:H(2)O(2) mixture is codeposited at 4.3 K with a beam of neon atoms that have been excited in a microwave discharge, three new, photosensitive absorptions appear which can be assigned to the three infrared-active vibrational fundamentals of trans-HOOH(+). When the Ne:H(2)O(2) deposition system is pretreated with the vapors of D(2)O, the product absorptions include new peaks which can be attributed to vibrational fundamentals of trans-HOOD(+) and trans-DOOD(+). Density functional calculations of the vibrational fundamentals of the three hydrogen peroxide cation isotopologues support the proposed assignments. Broad, photosensitive product absorptions also appear near the positions of vibrational transitions of O(3)(-), and may be contributed by a weakly bound complex of that species with H(2)O.

A fixed support method for cryogenic silicon cavities of ultra-stable lasers for space applications.

Sci Rep

School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Key Laboratory of Gravitational Wave Precision Measurement of Zhejiang Province, Taiji Laboratory for Gravitational Wave Universe, Hangzhou Institute for Advanced Study, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hangzhou, 310024, China.

In this paper, a fixed support method for a cryogenic monocrystalline silicon Fabry-Pérot cavity of an ultra-stable laser for space applications is proposed. Through finite element analysis, the vibration sensitivity at the center of the cavity is below 10E-12/g; the fundamental frequency is 381 Hz; the thermal deformation is compensated by applying a preload force of about 3 N*m for a variation of 300 K to 124 K. Based on these analyses, an equal-mass cavity simulator was machined and mounted.

Due to their simple structure (two bond species randomly arranged on a cubic lattice), the zincblende ABC semiconductor alloys (zb-SCA) set a benchmark to explore how physical properties are impacted by disorder. A longstanding controversy was whether the lattice dynamics (phonons), governed by the bond force constant, i.e.

Blades are the core components of rotating machinery, and the blade vibration status directly impacts the working efficiency and safe operation of the equipment. The blade tip timing (BTT) technique provides a solution for blade vibration monitoring and is currently a prominent topic in research on blade vibration issues. Nevertheless, the non-stationary factors present in actual engineering applications introduce inaccuracies in the BTT technique, resulting in blade vibration measurement errors.

A Modified Multiaxial Fatigue Model and Its Application for the Fatigue Life Prediction of Aircraft Hydraulic Pipes.

Materials (Basel)

December 2024

School of Mechatronic Engineering, Xidian University, No. 2 South Taibai Road, Xi'an 710071, China.

The fatigue failure of a structure may occur under a multiaxial vibration environment; it is necessary to establish a better multiaxial fatigue life prediction model to predict the fatigue life of the structure. This study proposes a new model (MWYT) by introducing the maximum absolute shear stress into the WYT model. The feasibility of the MWYT model is verified by using the multiaxial fatigue experimental data of 304 stainless steel, Q235B steel, 7075-T651 aluminum alloy and S355J0 steel.

Vitamin E is an essential nutrient, but its poor water solubility limits food and pharmaceutical applications. The usability of vitamin E can be enhanced via modification methods such as encapsulation, which transforms the physical state of vitamin E from a liquid to a powder. This study examined the efficacy of near-infrared (NIR) and mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy in identifying and predicting various vitamin E derivatives in vitamin E-encapsulated powder (VEP).
