In the context of a global economic downturn, Millennials-who represent the emerging primary consumer demographic-are increasingly adopting a minimalist consumption model. To understand this phenomenon, this study employed a partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis of 554 survey responses from Chinese Millennials. Building on the Theory of Reasoned Action, we explored the effects of consumption orientation, perceived economic pressure, self-expression, and perceived consumption risk on symbolic and simulacrum consumption perceptions.

Background: Antimicrobial resistance presents a formidable challenge, yet its existence predates the introduction of antibiotics. Our study delves into the presence of antimicrobial resistance genes (ARGs) in ancient permafrost microbiomes, comparing them with contemporary soil and pristine environments. Majority of the samples are from regions around Beringia, encompassing parts of Russia and Alaska, with only one sample originating from the Tien Shan Mountain range in Kyrgyzstan.

The concept of serious games and gamification in medical education is gaining attention due to its nature of curiosity and to engage the student's attention by simultaneous cultivation of their higher-level thinking without the experience of boredom. Significant differences were reported among the present medical students, generations Y and Z compared to earlier generations. The advancements in serious games for medical education fit well with millennial medical students' learning styles.
