While there are many benefits for dental practices that incorporate digital systems into their workflow, the dental team must first master the learning curve involved in order to maximize their advantages for creating well-fitting restorations. This article describes the current systems-both digital impression systems and chairside CAD/CAM systems-including software and digital cameras and scanners. The author emphasizes that to consistently capture accurate impressions with this technology, the dental team must continue to rely on traditional skills such as achieving optimal soft-tissue retraction and maintaining moisture control and isolation.

Objective: The focus of this study was to assess the diagnostic effectiveness of Tc-MDP single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) in pinpointing medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ).

To explore the changes of atlantoaxial joint spaces and pharyngeal airway after combined orthodontic-orthognathic treatment in skeletal class Ⅲ patients with mandibular deviation. A total of 34 adult skeletal class Ⅲ patients (10 males and 24 females) with mandibular deviation who received combined orthodontic-orthognathic treatment at the Department of Orthodontics and the Department of Orthognathic Surgery in the Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from August 2014 to October 2021 were retrospectively selected.
