Intraosseous hemangiomas are rare benign vascular tumors predominantly occurring in the axial skeleton. This case report describes a 44-year-old female with a history of multiple renal stones and benign breast calcifications, who was incidentally found to have a 1.2 cm lucent lesion in the left iliac bone during imaging for nephrolithiasis.

Haemangiomas have been described in many anatomic locations, but occur quite rarely in the breast; although unfrequent, they are the most common benign vascular tumors of the breast. They are comprised in the cathegory of mesenchymal lesions, a spectrum of lesions that arise in the stroma of the breast as defined by WHO. Here we present the case of a breast haemangioma in a 40-years-old woman, with history of a palpable lump in the left breast slowly increasing in size over time.

Background: Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE), is an uncommon, intermediate-grade malignant vascular tumor that can manifest in diverse organs, including the liver, lungs, and bones. Given its unique malignancy profile and rarity, there lacks a consensus on a standardized treatment protocol for EHE, particularly for hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (HEHE). This study aims to elucidate factors influencing the clinical prognosis of EHE by analyzing data from the SEER database, complemented with insights from a departmental cohort of 9 HEHE cases.

Angiosarcomas of the kidney and adrenal gland are rare, highly aggressive vascular neoplasms. Their genomic profile has not been systematically studied to date. We report the clinicopathologic and molecular features of six angiosarcomas centered in the kidney/adrenal gland.

Article Synopsis
  • Ovarian hemangioma is a rare tumor, with about 60 cases reported, but only around 10 investigated using MRI and ultrasound, often found by chance during autopsies or surgeries.
  • A case study details a 51-year-old woman with an asymptomatic ovarian hemangioma, discovered through a raised CA125 level and MRI, which showed a cystic solid mass in the left ovary.
  • The conclusion highlights that the MRI features of ovarian hemangiomas resemble those of liver hemangiomas, underlining the need for awareness of these radiological traits for better diagnosis and treatment.
