Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) is a widely used surgery for portal hypertension. In clinical practice, the diameter of the stent forming a shunt is usually selected empirically, which will influence the postoperative portal pressure. Clinical studies found that inappropriate portal pressure after TIPS is responsible for poor prognosis; however, there is no scheme to predict postoperative portal pressure.

Simulated training has become integral to medical education, particularly in microsurgical techniques, such as microlaryngeal surgery. Common wheat is allohexaploid, where it is difficult to obtain homoeolog-distinguished transcriptome data. Lasy-Seq, a type of 3' RNA-seq, is a technology efficient at obtaining homoeolog-distinguished transcriptomes. Here we applied Lasy-Seq to obtain transcriptome data from the seedlings, second leaves, and root tips of 25 common wheat lines mainly from East Asia.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of our novel video recording and editing method in enhancing trainees' experience.
Methods: A wearable camera (wearable recording) and multiple media sources in a hybrid operating room (hybrid recording) were used to capture procedural details such as audio and conversation, thus enabling a re-experience.
