Pervasive healthcare is beginning to investigate how novel sensory technologies can be used to measure body movements and provide various forms of feedback. This position paper reflects on a blended design approach that uses a combination of technology inspiration, consultation with experts and user-centred design for the development of a personalized pervasive healthcare system to support stroke rehabilitation.

Drawing from personal experiences, the narrative highlights how newly qualified doctors are often "left in the lurch", thrust into demanding roles with insufficient guidance, training, and resources. The consequences of this abandonment are explored, not only in terms of the personal and professional toll on junior doctors but also in the broader context of patient care and the overall efficacy of the healthcare system.

The pervasive use of social media exposes individuals to negative experiences, including social media bashing, which profoundly impacts mental health, yet there is a conspicuous lack of a standardized scale to assess these experiences. This study assessed the psychometric properties of the Social Media Bashing Assessment Scale (SM-BASH). A total of 978 college students from the Philippines participated in the study.
