Protein-losing enteropathy is a multisystem disorder characterized by abnormally high loss of plasma proteins in the gastrointestinal tract. In addition to loss of plasma proteins there is also loss of anticoagulant globulins leading to a prothrombotic state in the body. Single case observation. The patient developed unilateral macular infarction with non-embolic cerebral infarct due to loss of Antithrombin 3 and Protein S proteins in the gastrointestinal tract. The patient had poor recovery of vision due to severe ischemic retinal injury. The gastroenterology team should be on an alert to rule out prothrombotic states in such patients to prevent such complications.

Objective: To investigate the short-term blood flow changes and image features of the retina and choroid in patients who underwent carotid artery revascularization (CAR) for severe carotid artery stenosis using widefield swept-source OCT angiography (OCTA).
Design: Prospective study.
Participants: This prospective study included 112 eyes (56 eyes on the ipsilateral side and 56 eyes on the contralateral side) of 56 participants with severe carotid artery stenosis.

Importance: Some eyes with proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) treated to stability with panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) continue to lose vision without diabetic macular edema. One presumed cause is macular capillary nonperfusion (CNP)-associated ischemia or infarction. Natural history data of macular CNP might guide treatment trials for it.

Corneal degeneration is a form of progressive cell death caused by multiple factors, such as diabetic retinopathy. It is the most well-known neural degenerative disease caused by macular degeneration in the aged and those with retinitis pigmentosa. Myocardial infarction is becoming a more common burden, causing cardiomyocyte degeneration, ischemia, and heart tissue death.

Introduction: This study aims to evaluate the ocular and systemic safety profiles of intravitreal biosimilar ranibizumab Ranieyes (Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Mumbai, India) in real-world clinical settings across multiple chorioretinal vascular diseases, including neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and retinal vein occlusion (RVO) in adults.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective, consecutive, interventional, uncontrolled multicenter study using data from three hospital networks in India. A total of 1401 eyes received 2194 injections of Ranieyes between June 2022 and November 2023.
