The objective of this work was to study the structure and the totality of injuries associated with the fatal combined traumas in the children of different age based on the materials of forensic medical examination of children's corpses (115 original observations and 188 archived cases). The children died as a results of road traffic accidents or a fall from the height. It was shown that the structure of the combined trauma strongly depends on the children's age. Head injuries prevailed in the children under the age of 3 years whereas the frequency of this trauma decreased with age. On the contrary, the number of injuries to the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities increased with the age of the children. Moreover, the age was an important factor influencing the extent of all injuries and the severity of combined traumas. These parameters increased with increasing age.

Objective: This study aims to systematically assess the therapeutic effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) kidney-tonifying methods on osteoporosis in HR+ breast cancer patients after endocrine therapy, and to explore their clinical application value.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis adhered to the PRISMA guidelines and aimed to evaluate the impact of TCM kidney-tonifying methods on osteoporosis in HR+ breast cancer patients after endocrine therapy. Literature searches were conducted through October 2024 in databases including CBM, CNKI, Wanfang Data, PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Central, VIP, and renowned TCM databases such as TCM Online.
Background: The purpose of this study was to assess impingement-free internal rotation (IR) in a virtual reverse shoulder arthroplasty simulation using a Statistical Shape Model based on scapula size.
Methods: A database of over 10,000 scapulae utilized for preoperative planning for shoulder arthroplasty was analyzed with a Statistical Shape Model to obtain 5 scapula sizes including the mean and 2 standard deviations. For each scapula model, one glenosphere size (33-42 mm) was selected as the best fit based on consensus among 3 shoulder surgeons.

Background: Keloids are disfiguring, fibrotic scar-like lesions that are challenging to treat and commonly recur after therapy. A deeper understanding of the mechanisms driving keloid formation is necessary for the development of more effective therapies. Reduced vitamin D receptor (VDR) expression has been observed in keloids, implicating vitamin D signaling in keloid pathology.
