In patients with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI), overlapping non-gastrointestinal conditions such as fibromyalgia, headaches, gynaecological and urological conditions, sleep disturbances and fatigue are common, as is overlap among DGBI in different regions of the gastrointestinal tract. These overlaps strongly influence patient management and outcome. Shared pathophysiology could explain this scenario, but details are not fully understood.

Previous research has unveiled an intriguing positive association between the AB blood group and mental disorders in general. In this study, we compared ABO blood groups with five major groups of mental disorders to attain a higher level of specificity. Background: Delirium is highly prevalent in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and managing it in critically ill patients with severe comorbidities is challenging due to transient nature of symptoms. However its significance is underestimated, often overlooked and misdiagnosed by healthcare providers. In Nepal, limited studies has been done on delirium in medical ICUs hence this study aims to assess short-term outcome of admitted patients in delirium.
