We measure the dependence of qubit phase coherence and flux noise on inductor loop geometry. While wider inductor traces change neither the flux noise power spectrum nor the qubit dephasing time, increased inductance leads to a simultaneous increase in both. Using our new tomographic protocol for measuring low frequency flux noise, we make a direct comparison between the flux noise spectrum and qubit phase decay, finding agreement within 10% of theory.

We propose a non-magnetic transparent heating film based on silver nanowires (Ag-NWs) for application in spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) magnetic field measurement devices. To achieve ultra-high sensitivity in atomic magnetometers, the atoms within the alkali metal vapor cell must be maintained in a stable and uniform high-temperature environment. Ag-NWs, as a transparent conductive material with exceptional electrical conductivity, are well suited for this application.

With the vigorous development of maritime trade, the frequency band from 100 to 1500 Hz of shallow-sea ambient noise is not only affected by surface wind-induced noise but also the contribution of ship noise. Shallow-sea ambient noise can be described by a linear combination of surface wind-induced noise sources and ship noise sources. By using the correspondence between the real part of the vertical coherence and vertical energy flux, this work establishes a combined noise source model based on vertical coherence.

The production of nitrogen oxides (NO = NO + NO ) is substantial in urban areas and from fossil fuel-fired power plants, causing both local and regional pollution, with severe consequences for human health. To estimate their emissions and implement air quality policies, authorities often rely on reported emission inventories. The island of Cyprus is de facto divided into two different political entities, and as a result, such emissions inventories are not systematically available for the whole island.
