Aim: The significance of the mucinous adenocarcinoma in TNM staging and prognosis for colorectal tumor patients is still controversial. The aim was to provide a meta-analysis for TNM staging and prognostic features of colorectal tumors.
Methods: 30 individual case-control studies were finally included into this meta-analysis, involving a total of 444,489 cancer cases and 45,050 mucinous adenocarcinomas, of relations with TNM staging and prognostic features.
Results: Compared to non-mucinous adenocarcinoma patients, the TNM IV stage accounted for a larger percentage of mucinous adenocarcinomas (OR=1.48, 95%CI 1.28-1.71, POR<0.001) and the prognosis was significantly poor (HR=1.06, 95%CI 1.04-1.08, P<0.001). After heterogeneity testing, the results was similar to the holistic approach outcome (HR=1.48, 95%CI 1.35-1.62, P<0.001).
Conclusion: Compared to patients with non-mucinous adenocarcinomas, mucinous adenocarcinoma patients with later TNM staging make up a big percentage, and mucinous adenocarcinoma is an independent risk factor for poor prognosis.

Background/aim: Mucinous breast carcinoma (MBC) is thought to be a favorable-differentiated form of invasive breast cancer and is rarely preferred for neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). The study aimed to define the response of MBCs to NAC.
Materials And Methods: A review was made of the demographic, clinicopathologic characteristics, management and follow-up data of 70 patients diagnosed with MBC between May 2010 and December 2020 by examining the patients' historical files and oncology records.

Background/objective: Patient-derived organoids (PDOs) have emerged as essential for ex vivo modelling for pancreatic cancer (PDAC) but reports on efficacy and organoid take rate are scarce. This study aimed to assess the feasibility of establishing PDOs from resected specimens in periampullary tumors.
Methods: Patients undergoing surgery for suspected periampullary cancer were included.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most lethal and common form of pancreatic cancer, it has no specific symptoms, and most of the patients are diagnosed when the disease is already at an advanced stage. Chemotherapy typically has only a modest effect, making surgery the most effective treatment option. However, only a small percentage of patients are amenable to surgery.

Purpose: The rarity of breast mucinous carcinoma (BMC) makes it challenging to study the prognosis of this disease across diverse racial populations. This study aimed to leverage epidemiological data on immigrant populations to elucidate the prognostic differences in BMC patients from various racial/ethnic backgrounds. The goal was to help formulate more personalized clinical practice guidelines for the management of this rare malignancy.
