Background: Data on the characteristics and antithrombotic treatments of venous thromboembolism (VTE) among children with congenital heart disease (CHD) undergoing cardiac surgery are limited.
Objective: (s): To evaluate the features and rates of recurrent thromboembolism in real-world experience, using a global multicenter dataset.
Methods: We queried the TriNetX global electronic health record (EHR)-derived real-world data research platform for patients <18 years of age who underwent cardiac surgery for CHD with a diagnosis of VTE within 1 year of surgery.

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) induces complex cellular and molecular changes, challenging recovery and therapeutic development. Although molecular pathways have been implicated in TBI pathology, the cellular specificity of these mechanisms remains underexplored. Here, we investigate the role of endothelial cell (EC) EphA4, a receptor tyrosine kinase receptor involved in axonal guidance, in modulating cell-specific transcriptomic changes within the damaged cerebral cortex.

Background: In low-income and middle-income counties (LMICs), the outcome of relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies is poor due to the absence of effective therapies. We report the results of a phase 1/2 study of a novel humanised anti-CD19 4-1BB chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy, talicabtagene autoleucel, for patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell malignancies.
Methods: This open-label, multicentre, phase 1/2 study was done at six tertiary cancer centres in India.

Introduction And Importance: Vertex epidural haematoma is a rare form of epidural haemorrhage and a complication of head trauma that is both a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge for the trauma surgeon. It's usually as result of laceration in the superior sagittal sinus. Whereas most patients with small vertex epidural hematomas improve with conservative treatment, large or rapidly expanding lesions are fatal and require emergency craniotomy.

Objectives: Protection against severe course of SARS-CoV-2 infection after COVID-19 vaccination or infection was extensively studied. It is unknown whether this effect also translates into shortened duration of mild infections. We assessed the duration of symptoms depending on vaccination status and previous SARS-CoV-2 infections among individuals with a mild course of infection.
