The use of proteins as intracellular probes and therapeutic tools is often limited by poor intracellular delivery. One approach to enabling intracellular protein delivery is to transform proteins into spherical nucleic acid (proSNA) nanoconstructs, with surfaces chemically modified with a dense shell of radially oriented DNA that can engage with cell-surface receptors that facilitate endocytosis. However, proteins often have a limited number of available reactive surface residues for DNA conjugation such that the extent of DNA loading and cellular uptake is restricted.

Aims: To establish the feasibility of using ecological momentary assessment (EMA) to estimate total quantities of Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) used across different forms of cannabis, and to assess the predictive validity of THC estimates for predicting acute cannabis-related consequences.
Design: 14-day EMA using a smartphone application to assess cannabis use in real time.
Setting: Canada.

Osteometric studies of the mandible are useful for identifying polymorphisms that are affected by general factors of anatomical variation, such as breed and gender, but age-related changes have not yet been reported in sheep. Our results showed that the morphometric parameters of the mandible were significantly affected by the age of the lambs. However, at 155 days of age, the mandible already presents all the morphological characteristics observed in adult animals.

Infection control is a crucial aspect of healthcare delivery aimed at curtailing the spread of infections within healthcare settings. The role of infection control nurses (ICNs) is reported to have a significant contribution in limiting healthcare-associated infections. Scholarly investigations have explored various domains of ICNs.

The anthraquinone dye Alizarin Red S (ARS) is used for marking live animals, specifically as a tool for monitoring the stock of the endangered European eel by marking caught fish with ARS before releasing the eels back into the wild. As ARS can be found in recaptured eels even years later, knowledge of potential health hazards of ARS is essential for assessing the food safety of eels marked with ARS. As the compound class of anthraquinones is known for their genotoxic and carcinogenic properties, concerns were raised regarding the food safety of marked eels.
