Background: The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requires annual surveys of residency programs.

Intervention: We switched from a paper-based to a web-based survey and report on the efficiency and quality improvement gains from this change. To determine the prevalence of web-based surveys, we conducted a web-based and telephone survey of 17 internal medicine residency training programs in Southern California. Fifteen programs provided data (88% response rate).

Results: By making the switch, our internal medicine residency program was able to save over 50 administrative hours and over 1000 pieces of paper. A total investment of $20 for the Surveymonkey.com account (Palo Alto, CA) and approximately 15 hours to migrate the survey was made. The program administrators were able to more rapidly analyze and respond to the feedback from the residents with this system. Our survey of other programs showed that of 15 programs, 12 used a web-based survey system (80%) and 3 used a paper-based system (20%). Surveymonkey.com was the most popular system used.

Conclusions: We feel that the quality of response to resident feedback was enhanced by the real-time reaction to comments and assessments. Residents also appreciated the benefits of such a change. We recommend this approach to other programs that are still using paper-based surveys.

Background: In South Africa, there is no centralized HIV surveillance system where key populations (KPs) data, including gay men and other men who have sex with men, female sex workers, transgender persons, people who use drugs, and incarcerated persons, are stored in South Africa despite being on higher risk of HIV acquisition and transmission than the general population. Data on KPs are being collected on a smaller scale by numerous stakeholders and managed in silos. There exists an opportunity to harness a variety of data, such as empirical, contextual, observational, and programmatic data, for evaluating the potential impact of HIV responses among KPs in South Africa.

Background: Self-guided internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT) achieves greater reach than ICBT delivered with therapist guidance, but demonstrates poorer engagement and fewer clinical benefits. Alternative models of care are required that promote engagement and are effective, accessible, and scalable.

Objective: This randomized trial evaluated whether a stepped care approach to ICBT using therapist guidance via videoconferencing for the step-up component (ICBT-SC[VC]) is noninferior to ICBT with full therapist delivery by videoconferencing (ICBT-TG[VC]) for child and adolescent anxiety.

Background: This study aimed to investigate knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) toward coronary heart disease (CHD) secondary prevention among CHD patients.

Methods: This web-based cross-sectional study enrolled patients with CHD who visited the Yangpu District Central Hospital in Shanghai (China) between October 18, 2022, and March 25, 2023. The administered questionnaire assessed demographic information and KAP; factors associated with good practice were identified by multivariate logistic regression.

Background: Although post-transplant diabetes mellitus (PTDM) is a common complication after kidney transplantation, there are few data on prevention, optimal screening, and treatment strategies.

Methods: The European Renal Association's DESCARTES working group distributed a web-based survey to European transplant centres to gather information on risk assessment, screening procedures, and management practices for preventing and treating PTDM in kidney transplant recipients.

Results: Answers were obtained from 121/241 transplant centres (50%) across 15 European countries.
