Goal: Burnout, decreased professional fulfillment, and resultant attrition across the medical professions are increasingly recognized as threats to sustainable and cost-effective healthcare delivery. While the skill level of leaders as perceived by their direct reports has been correlated with rates of burnout and fulfillment, no studies, to our knowledge, have directly evaluated whether intervention via leadership training impacts burnout and fulfillment among direct reports. The goal of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a leadership training intervention on direct reports' perceptions of the leadership skills of supervising residents and subsequently on the well-being of the direct reports.

This study details two cases of traumatic cataracts with a history of blunt trauma. Both presented with progressive vision loss, mydriasis, and zonular dialysis. The surgical intervention involved complete cataractous lens removal, anterior vitrectomy, iris cerclage with 10-0 prolene sutures, and retropupillary iris-claw lens fixation.

Social media use has become a growing concern and an emerging public health crisis, with an increasing body of research suggesting adverse effects on the psychological, social, and mental well-being of its users. We evaluated the effectiveness of a technology-based self-management intervention consisting of self-monitoring and delays in a college student's daily social media use. Results showed a reduction of social media use to zero and near-zero levels and maintenance up to 30 days postintervention.

Introduction: In Michigan, the COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted Black and Latinx communities. These communities experienced higher rates of exposure, hospitalizations, and deaths compared to Whites. We examine the impact of the pandemic and reasons for the higher burden on communities of color from the perspectives of Black and Latinx community members across four Michigan counties and discuss recommendations to better prepare for future public health emergencies.
